When the winds of change come up
some start building walls others windmills!
About myself
In short - I do have a deep passion for agriculture and I am entrepreneur by heart!
Growing up on a farm, I enjoyed already in my very early days the fascination of nature and was amazed by all the products we produced on the farm.
As a consequence an agricultural education followed on the Highschool Francisco Josephinum in Wieselburg and I obtained a specialized seed business education, including in depth management training during my 18 years with Pioneer. During this time I attended a marketing college on the University of Economics in Vienna and earned a Masters Degree on the California State Hayward University.
After Pioneer was acquired by DuPont I decided to build up my own business. I started off with wine marketing, dived into commodity and machinery trade and was also working as transitional manager for an agricutural market research company and a large farming operation. The past ten years I focused on the seed business, first developing a sound contract production model, then building up an own farm operation and finally investing into a seed processing facility.
Being an entrepreneur in a region in transition, turned out to be tough with a lot of unexpected challenges, but being solution focused, it was also an extraordinary learning experience to master these challenges.
Now after 17 years as an entrepreneur I am reshaping my business based on all experiences.
I am looking forward to develop new business and to support other businesses with a very well equipped toolbox - which will continue to grow.
